Luke 23 and John 18-19

Throughout the trial and crucifixion of Jesus, truth is absent.  False witnesses are used to convict Jesus of blasphemy.  Violations against Jewish trial procedures exist (trial at night).  Jewish leaders lie to Pilate.  Even Pilate asks about truth.  Jesus is the demonstration of truth throughout.  Jesus says that he came to testify to the truth and that all who love the truth recognize his words as true.  Our Savior never lied in his entire 30+ years of life.  Even as he stood before different political and religious leaders he remained committed to truth.  We who love truth, listen to the words of Jesus.  Truth is not a convenience but an absolute.  We, like our Savior, seek truth and want to hear truth.  Let’s be those who speak and live truth each day.
