The youth will be participating in a 30 Hour Famine April 23-25th. They will be collecting donations to help feed starving children throughout the world. They will also be fasting for 30 hours just to see what it is like to be really be Hungry. They will also participate in some different activities to help them realize how it feels to be homeless, or to live in poverty. They would greatly appreciate any help you can give with this. You can check out www.30hourfamine.org for some more information. There will also a way to donate online, more info about that will come later! This will be done inconjunction with our Spring Youth Retreat too!

Items needed:  Canned vegetables, fruit,  soup, stew, spaghetti, chili, salmon, ham, chicken, sardines, Vienna sausage, potted meat, and  tuna.  Or peanut butter, fruit cups, snacks, and crackers.

“If we all were to purchase one extra can of soup every time we went to the grocery, thinks how much this would help the MUM food ministry.  If you would rather make a monetary donation, I will be glad to purchase food items for you. “  – Sylvia Scott

unityWe will be collecting funds again this year for the Memphis Urban Ministry Turkey Giveaway.  A $10 donation will provide a needy family with a Thanksgiving Turkey.  Please turn your donation in to the church office by Wednesday, November 18.

There is a sign up sheet on the front pew for those who are interested in helping serve the Memphis Urban Ministry effort.  Please see Trace Hallowell if you have any questions.

Continue to be in prayer as to how each of us can participate as we build this relationship of service together.  We feel God has and continues to bless this family at Park
