On Thursday (Nov 10, 2011) the Park Avenue church group worked with another group in the Onagawa area of Ishinomaki. This was a very had hit area which we toured the previous Monday. On our second day of relief work, we helped repair a house which is being used as a headquarters for some relief efforts in the area. The house was damaged by the tsunami when five feet of water came into it. Many repairs had already be made. We had three tasks given to us. The one [...] Read more…
On November 8 (Tue) a group from the Mito and Park Avenue churches worked together to feed over 100 people who are living in temporary housing following the earthquake and tsunami of March 11. The Park Avenue church group joined with the Mito church group to do work in the Ishinomaki area. We lodged in the church building of the Sendai church of Christ.
