Memphis Urban Ministry (MUM) provides food items for the homeless and those in need.  There is a labeled box for items located in room 106 of the Education Building.  This will be an on-going project for the Park Family.  Feel free to contribute at any time during the year.  Families tend to need items that can be heated and served.

Items needed:  Canned vegetables, fruit,  soup, stew, spaghetti, chili, salmon, ham, chicken, sardines, Vienna sausage, potted meat, and  tuna.  Or peanut butter, fruit cups, snacks, and crackers.

“If we all were to purchase one extra can of soup every time we went to the grocery, thinks how much this would help the MUM food ministry.  If you would rather make a monetary donation, I will be glad to purchase food items for you. ”  – Sylvia Scott

We will be collecting funds again this year for the Memphis Urban Ministry Turkey Giveaway.  A $10 donation will provide a needy family with a Thanksgiving Turkey.  Please turn your donation in to the church office by Wednesday, November 18.

After much prayer and discussion, the Elders have decided that Park should partner with the Memphis Urban Ministries.

We feel this ministry is aligned with our mission of community outreach and will be an opportunity to serve.  As we explore Park’s role with MUM in the coming weeks, along with other opportunities, we invite your comments and suggestions.

Continue to be in prayer as to how each of us can participate as we build this relationship of service together.  We feel God has and continues to bless this family at Park
