Kazuo at his baptism.
Kazuo at his baptism.

On 4 Oct Kazuo Yamamoto was baptized in the name of Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit at Uenohara Church of Christ, where I serve monthly. For a couple of  years before he came to Uenohara Church of Christ, he was in Jehovah’s Witness.  He realized that there was something wrong with the group.  Very vaiguely he thought Jehovah’s Witness regulations and rules do not agree with the Bible.     He started coming to Uenohara Church a few years ago.  He has hardly missed the assembly.  He has diligently studied the Scripture and tried to understand the will of God.

Before the baptism, he and I talked and made sure that he understood what he was doing.  Baptism is not something like a certificate, but it is just the beginning of his Christian life.  He entered into Jesus’ School and will receive a graduation certificate on the Judgment Day.  We rejoiced with him.  This is the day the Lord has made for him.  I will continue praying for him and his spiritual growth.  He wants now to study the Scripture more and take some 3 day short classes offered by JSE where I teach the Bible.
