Ray Report – Feb 20 ’11

2/20/2011

It has been cold during January and February, but I guess most of you have been cold, too.  It has snowed more times this year than in most other years and the snow has lasted longer.  About 10 swans have come to the pond next to our house.  They come and go whenever they please.  It is always relaxing to watch them swim around.  Some are pure white and others are gray.  Many ducks are wintering there, also.

We are preparing for the visit of my nieces and sister next month.  One niece, Megan and her daughter will come on the 14th of March and stay one week.  My sister, Carolyn and her two daughters, Jennifer and Nancy will come the next week for a week.  This is the first time for any of them to come to Japan, so it is exciting for us as well as them.

We are ending a school year soon, so we have been working to get our schedules set up for the new year.  We are cutting back on the number of elementary school students.  We will start concentrating more on the adult classes.  We have more than 30 adult students.

We want to say thank you very much for your support through the years.  Not only the money, but your constant prayers.  We get notices now and then about a Sunday school class or Adult class or the whole church praying for us.  We definitely  need them.  We are very happy to be in Japan, because that is where God put us and wants us to be here.

Serving Him in Japan,

Marlin and Jean Ray
