Once again this year we will have the opportunity to minister in Japan. Many of the speaking appointments were made before our last trip was completed. We are deeply thankful for the opportunity to minister in Japan and also for the kind hospitality of so many in Japan.
Here is our tentative schedule for this trip looking at Dwight’s speaking assignments. Josephine will also have several classes which she will find out once in Japan.
- August 12 – Depart for Japan; arrive August 13
- August 16-17 – Ibaraki Summer Seminar – ｢働かれたい主｣ = “The Lord Who Desires to Work”
- August 18 – Worship with the Tachikawa church
- August 23-24 – Ochanomizu Hakone Bible Camp – ｢社会に於けるキリスト者｣ = “The Christian in Society”
- August 28; September 4, 8, 11 – Ochanomizu Wednesday night Bible Study – Study through 1 John
- August 29; September 5, 9, 12 – Tachikawa Thursday morning Bible Study – Study through 1 John
- September 1 – Worship with the Taga church
- September 8 – Worship with the Tomobe church
- September 15 – Worship with the Ochanomizu church
- September 21-22 – Seminar with the Hachinohe, Sendai, Morioka, and Misawa churches
- September 24 – Ibaraki Christian University chapel
- September 29 – Worship with the Kojima church
- October 6 – Seminar with Katsuta church – ｢兄弟姉妹への互いの配慮｣ = “Brothers and Sisters Considering Each Other”
- October 13 – Worship with the Nakada church
- October 14 – Shizuoka Area Retreat – ｢その方による以外に救いはない｣ = “There Is No Other Name by which We Are Saved”
- October 18-20 – Gospel meeting with the Naha church, Okinawa
- October 23 – Return to Memphis
