Mentoring

We have a number of young Christians, so I have to teach them the fundamentals of the biblical teachings.  Recently I picked up a couple of books on mentoring.  I have learned to know that teaching is a form of mentoring.  I am still learning how to mentor others and to be mentored by older Christians.  Also I need to have a mentoring relationship with peers.  One of the books points out it is difficult to establish a mentoring relationship with peers.  I agree with it because we are supposed to take care of ourselves. People generally think that is a sign of maturity.   Particularly we are not expected to show a sign of weaknesses to peers.

Over all I have realized that mentoring is necessary for both mentors and mentees to grow spiritually.  It will help me most definitely.
