Having a Meeting with Each Member
Even though we are small in size, we are spiritually growing and having visitors almost every week. This kind of excitement can easily keep us from having right perspective. I tend to lose a right focus myself when things are going well.
It is a good practice for me to meet each member privately at least once a year in order that I can know what is going on in their lives. (Of course I get together with a married couple, not separately.) Also I would like to have each member’s feedback and input. Some people are too shy to speak up in a group or make a prayer request in front of others. That is very understandable. Getting together with them is a precious moment for me. This is somewhat similar to prayer time with God in Christ. I enjoy spending time with them and talk to them and listen to them because they are fellow Christians, brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our Prayer for Masashi
Masashi’s working schedule has changed. The order by his boss came to him last week and will go in effect in April. He cannot take a day off on Sunday anymore. He has attended the service every week and never missed once. He has been very positive influence on other Christians in the assembly and often initiate a good relationship with them. This change is a major blow for him and has discouraged him in a great deal. Also I have to overcome this obstacle and pray for him that God providentially will work things out for him.
