Jeremiah 23-25

Jeremiah foretells Jerusalem’s destruction.
God’s will is carried out through people. Many never recognize that they are instruments.  Most live life finding purpose and meaning in life in the choices they make. But Jeremiah 25:9 reminds us that God can use those who live selfishly and powerfully.  Nebuchadnezzar is God’s servant.  He doesn’t know this.  He is living life with the intent to rule the world, but God will use his evil intent to fulfill His purpose.  The people in your life may not recognize the possibility that God exists or may not acknowledge God’s will and purpose.  God can still use them to carry out his will.  We want God to use us, but God can also use those who do not know Him.  This changes how we look at people and events.  We live in faith knowing that God’s power and purposes can be accomplished in a variety of ways and through a variety of people — even those who do not know it.
