Ezra returns.
God is at work. Esther is queen when Xerxes the first is king. This is approximately 486 B.C. Mordecai becomes prime minister of Persia around 475 B.C. The Jews are in favorable positions and well respected in the Persian kingdom. Artaxerxes, Esther’s stepson, becomes king in 464 B.C. In 457 B.C. Artaxerxes sends Ezra along with over 1700 men to Jerusalem to begin a reform. Not only does the king issue the decree but vast wealth is given to pay for rebuilding projects as well as to take care of these people for some time. God is at work. While we may not be able to see all that he does, God is unfolding his plan through your life. It may take years to complete, but he is working. Honor Him.
