Lord.
Jesus is Lord is the title of a song. It is also how Jesus is seen from our reading. Jesus is healing and teaching. Every action is scrutinized. Every word is judged. Questions arise. Jesus answers with confidence and certainty. He is Lord. He offers another perspective. The world and living in this world is bigger than man made laws. To do a good deed on the Sabbath is to fulfill the intent of God. To feed the hungry on the Sabbath is to demonstrate the justice of God. God didn’t want work on the Sabbath but that command got twisted to exclude. We are the vessels for God to use in this world. We follow our Lord. We touch lives. We do good deeds. We feed the hungry. We do these things because God has done these things for us. Jesus is Lord.
