About the Park Avenue Church of Christ

Love God.
Love our neighbors.
Love each other.
God has planted our church family in East Memphis to serve the Sea Isle neighborhood and surrounding communities. We want to help people mature in their faith and invite everyone into the family of God.
Core beliefs
We believe that God is the Creator of heaven and earth. He created men and women in his own image - which gives us extraordinary value and worth. We believe that God is love. And even though we are separated from him because of sin, God has made it his mission to bring us back into relationship with Him.
We believe that Jesus is God’s answer to our problems. He is God’s son, who came to show us the way back to God, and made that possible by going to the cross. He is Lord and we submit our lives to him by following the example he set for loving our Father and our neighbors.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is our helper and our comforter. The Spirit strengthens us in our weakness, reminds us of our identity in Christ, and helps bring about the life that God wants us to live.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, and is meant to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. The church is not a building, but the assembly of people that God has brought together, into relationship with Him.
