What to expect

At Park Avenue, we consider each other family. We do our best to extend that warmth to everyone who honors us with a visit – even if you’re just passing through town. You will be warmly welcomed and encouraged to participate in uplifting classes and worship.

While we revere the Word and diligently pursue both grace and truth, we do not consider ourselves to have perfectly figured it all out.

Dress Code

We don’t have a dress code. Some of us dress up and some of us wear blue jeans.

Communion

We do not restrict participation in The Lord’s Supper, which we observe every week. It’s up to you to decide whether you wish to take part.

Singing

You’ll find acapella singing (without instrumental accompaniment) here. You’ll hear everything from beloved old hymns to contemporary songs.

Expectations

We take joy in our diversity. Whatever you look like, wherever you come from, whatever your depth or lack of Bible knowledge, whatever your perspective on spiritual things, we will befriend you.

Membership

Membership in our congregation is defined only by the requirements that God has outlined for people to become Christians in scripture. Nothing more, nothing less.
